Pre - hearing Conference, Regarding Designated Mining Operation Regular 112d -1
Operation Reclamation Permit Amendment Application Submitted by Cotter Corporation
Dear Applicant, Party and /or Interested Person:
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DBMS) has completed technical review of
the above referenced amendment application for a Designated Mining Operation Regular l l2d -1
Reclamation Permit. DRMS has determined that the applicant has met the minimum requirements of the
Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Hard Rock, Metal
and Designated Mining Operations, and therefore are preparing to recommend that the Board approve
this 112d -1 amendment application over the objections received.
Pursuant to Rule 2.7.1(5), a Pre - hearing Conference shall be held after the Office has issued its
recommendation and at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the Formal Public Hearing. The DRMS
Rational for Approval will be sent under separate cover at least 3 working days prior to the Pre - hearing
Conference Pursuant to Rule 1.4.9(2)(c).
The Pre - hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10:00
a.m. The location for the Pre - hearing Conference will be the Colorado Bureau of Investigations
office at 2797 Justice Drive, Grand Junction, CO 81506. Steve Renner will preside as Pre - hearing
Conference Officer. The purpose of the Pre - hearing Conference is to explain the rights and
responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board
Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues falling under the Board's jurisdiction, to simplify the list
and identify those parties who have demonstrated standing at the Formal Public Hearing. Pursuant to
Rule 2.6 (2)(b) and (3) parties must supply 15 copies, one unbound, list of witnesses and all exhibits to be
used at the time of the Prehearing Conference.
