Hickenlooper <br />Governor <br />Notice to Applicant, Parties and Interested Persons Mike King <br />Executive Director <br />Loretta Pineda <br />RE: SM -18 Mine, File No. M -1978 -116, Notice of Recommendation of Approval and Director <br />Pre - hearing Conference, Regarding Designated Mining Operation Regular 112d -1 <br />Operation Reclamation Permit Amendment Application Submitted by Cotter Corporation <br />Dear Applicant, Party and /or Interested Person: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DBMS) has completed technical review of <br />the above referenced amendment application for a Designated Mining Operation Regular l l2d -1 <br />Reclamation Permit. DRMS has determined that the applicant has met the minimum requirements of the <br />Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Hard Rock, Metal <br />and Designated Mining Operations, and therefore are preparing to recommend that the Board approve <br />this 112d -1 amendment application over the objections received. <br />Pursuant to Rule 2.7.1(5), a Pre - hearing Conference shall be held after the Office has issued its <br />recommendation and at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the Formal Public Hearing. The DRMS <br />Rational for Approval will be sent under separate cover at least 3 working days prior to the Pre - hearing <br />Conference Pursuant to Rule 1.4.9(2)(c). <br />The Pre - hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10:00 <br />a.m. The location for the Pre - hearing Conference will be the Colorado Bureau of Investigations <br />office at 2797 Justice Drive, Grand Junction, CO 81506. Steve Renner will preside as Pre - hearing <br />Conference Officer. The purpose of the Pre - hearing Conference is to explain the rights and <br />responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board <br />Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues falling under the Board's jurisdiction, to simplify the list <br />and identify those parties who have demonstrated standing at the Formal Public Hearing.
