As reported then, all 6 of the authorized holes were
drilled in November, 2009. Hole plugging and surface reclamation was accomplished as drilling
progressed and immediately after. Reclamation was examined by DOE personnel in August,
2010 who indicated to EFR that it is satisfactory. The State Wide reclamation liability bond
( #K07346323) remains in place with DRMS in the amount of $100 allocated to this NOI. DOE
also holds EFR's $5,000 bond for this project.
EFR did not close this permit in 2010 since we expected to perform additional drilling in 2011.
However, the DOE is not allowing any surface- disturbing work to be performed on this property
pending the final decision of the court- ordered Programmatic Environmental Impact Study in
progress on this and other DOE uranium lease tracts. EFR will request termination of this NOI
soon.
Surface Landowner Contact:
Ed Cotter, Program Lead
DOE Uranium Leasing Program
S.M.
