Roundtable Participation in the Study
Many of the comments we received indicated an interest by roundtable members, water users, and members of the public to actively participate in
the s tudy. Responses to specific comments are incorporated above, but in general roundtables and individuals can do a number of things:
1. Start reviewing the current CDSS manuals. These are available on the web
( http://ibcc.state.co.us/Process/Needs/WaterSupplyAvailability/ ). Under “helpful links” you can access the Basin Background Information
References and the Bas in Water Resources Planning Model User's Manual for each sub - basin included in the CDSS ;
2. Review and provide input on draft technical memorandum developed throughout the study. Draft deliverables will be placed on the state’s
web site and review/comments s olicited from the basin roundtable members. The study management team will revise study documents
as appropriate to include these comments.
3. Actively participate in Task 4 which is intended to review and refine the current CDSS model. This will be an oppo rtunity to provide input
on existing demands, critical periods, modeling nodes or key stream locations, etc. These workshops are an integral part of the public
outreach and roundtable participation component of the study, so they were explicitly added to the Phase I Schedule and the timeframe
for Phase I was increase by 3 months.
a. Task 4d in the scope of work was amended to include additional workshops with roundtable members.
b. These workshops will be held in conjunction with IBCC meetings.
c. Input received from BRT members during these workshops will be considered by the study team in the formulation of refinements
to be made to subbasin models.
d. The three workshops are envisioned to have the following subject matter:
i. Introduction to the State’s Decision Su pport Systems.
ii. Development (methodology, data, assumptions) of Decision Support Systems for West Slope basins.
iii. Presentation/review of modeling results.
e. In addition to the workshops, consultations will be held with basin roundtable representatives to discu ss modeling of individual
basin’s water supplies and demands. If roundtable’s establish subcommittees, the study team will work through them.
4. Review and provide comments on alternate hydrology developed under Tasks 7 and 8.
5. In addition to the Task 4 works hops, participate in the final workshop (see Task 10b).
6. Each Roundtable at their discretion may establish a sub - committee to review study documents and interact with the study team.
7. The two west slope conservation districts (the River District and Southwes t) may assign staff to participate in the study. This has not been
determined and will be at the discretion of each district.
10 of 10
Page
