The reaches include. <br /> <br />Reach A) South Platte Park - Bowles Avenue <br />Reach B) Bowles Avenue - West Union Avenue (Pilot Project) <br />Reach C) West Union Avenue - West Oxford Avenue <br />Reach D) West Oxford Avenue - Hampden Avenue <br /> <br />Public Involvement <br />In addition to coordination with agencies and stakeholders, an extensive public education and <br />outreach component of this VMP is vitally important. Public perception and input regarding <br />the high value of the environment, in terms of environmental and aesthetic benefits needs to <br />be taken into account as the South Platte corridor includes one of the most highly utilized <br />trail systems in the state and is enjoyed by thousands of outdoor enthusiasts. The draft VMP <br />plan will be summarized in a press release and posted for public review and comment. In <br />addition, public meetings will be conducted prior to implementation of the proposed plan to <br />provide detailed information to interested parties and to gain public input and facilitate <br />collaboration on mitigation opportunities and potential assistance with seeding and planting <br />of acceptable vegetation near the project to maintain habitat connectivity and value. <br /> <br /> <br />Page 7 <br />Final Report - April 30, 2008 <br />
