This plan has been developed as a <br />supporting document to the 2000 Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement. The plan <br />is used as a tool to help monitor the implementation and success of the environmental mitigation <br />program for the Animas-La Plata Project (ALP Project). <br /> <br />Attachment A to the ECMP is an Environmental Commitment Checklist (Checklist), This <br />Checklist includes a list of the environmental commitments for the ALP Project and the status of <br />each commitment as of December 31,2003, This checklist will be updated at the end of each <br />year throughout the construction period for the ALP Project and transmitted to interested parties. <br />It will also be put on the ALP Project web site (www.usbr.gov/uc and then click on the Animas <br />La Plata icon), <br /> <br />Attachment B to the ECMP is the Animas La Plata Project Wetland/Riparian Mitigation and <br />Monitoring Plan. This plan was completed July 29, 2003. A commitment was made in the <br />Wetland/Riparian Mitigation and Monitoring Plan to provide an annual report documenting the <br />progress being made on the implementation of the WetlandJRiparian Mitigation Plan, The 2003 <br />Annual Report for the Wetland/Riparian Mitigation Plan is also enclosed with this letter. This <br />annual report will also be put on the ALP Project web site, <br /> <br />These plans are considered dynamic, Throughout the process of completing the construction and <br />mitigation work for the ALP Project, changes to the plans may be required to ensure success of <br />the mitigation work and/or to improve the plans, If significant changes to the plans are made, an <br />addendum to the plans will be transmitted to you, <br />
