This includes the identification of potential
contingency plans in order to comply with the requirements. This effort
was requested principally in order to define options for meeting salinity
requirements. until such time as the Yuma Desalting Plant becomes operational,
but also serves to identify means to help minimize the operation and
maintenance costs of the desalting plant. We are continuing to work
with the Bureau with regard to both the salinity monitoring and decision
making process and have requested that the Bureau document this work
in some form of report for better r use.

\

Executi v"e

Enclosures
