August 1977, I have inclosed a report on <br />the flood control requirements and benefits for the authorized Narrows <br />U:1i t . <br /> <br />'!he Narrows Unit vould reduce the flood damage potential on the South <br />Platte River from the dam downstream to the city of North Platte by about <br />16 percent. <br /> <br />Currently, nood damages are expected to average about $5,352,800 annually. <br />With the Narrows Unit, flood damage would be reduced to $4,516,000 annually, <br />'!he reduction of $836,000 is the average annual flood control benefit that <br />would be attributable to the Narrows Unit. <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />. .-.. r: <br /> <br />Sincerely yours, <br /> <br />. .... :- <br /> <br />I' <br />j'- ..:.~; <br /> <br />~. ....
