Please let
me know if you have corrections.

Water rights on the Little Snake River along the ColoradolWyomtng border

· In'igated land lying close to the Slate Line and not modeled in Phase 2 will be aggregated together
into one aggregation rt;presenting approximately 4300 irrigated acres. Some lands in this category
are irrigated from Colorado rights and some are irrigated from Wyoming rights; most lands lie in
Colorado but small portions lie in Wyoming. Teasing apart the details for all lands, structures, and
rights is something the Division office is working on and that infonnation is not currently available
to us. By aggregating, at least the consumptive use will be represented in the model. There mayor
may not be adequate water rights in the Colorado tabs to 'adequately cover the demand; we will
address that once we get to running the model. In any event, we will identify improving the Little
Snake ponion of the model as a concern or desiIable future work.

Automation/reproducibility Issues

· Ability to reproduce model input files from the databases is of paramOWlt importance. That means
that all revisions should be clearly documented in the tiles themselves.

· To the extent possible, Boyle should probably try to automate changes made to the DMI-generated
tiles, for their own efficiency as well as for the sake of reproducibility. This is because we anticipate
that files will be created from the ground (Le., the DMI step) up many times over the course of doing
the model enhancements. Automation can be done adapting and using the A WK utilities that Rti
developed, or using utilities Boyle develops. Ray Bennett will see to it that all the processors used
by Rti are put out on caudo for Boyle's use.

· The Yampa input files probably were manually edited. In other words, there are probably no A WK
programs for them.

· For Task 3.01, it will be adequate to hand edit the .dds tile for the purpose of creating model input
that varies from Phase 2 model only with respect to treatment of instream flow rights.

Yampa basin aggregations
· Elk River should be grouped into three rather than two aggregations.

-.... .. -
