Colorado 80234. <br /> <br />hereinafter referred to as the contractor/Contractor. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, authority exists in the Lawand Funds have been budgeted, appropriated and otherwise made available and a sufficient <br />unencumbered balance thereof remains available for payment in Fund Number 424 . Program <br />wrnc '_ ~.~ntrac\ Encumbrance NumbcIj ---.,; and <br />~~\qlO c.l")J\':)l.. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, required approval, clearance and coordination have been accomplished from and with appropriate agencies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 37-60-115 <br />(1) (a), Colorado Revised Statutes, the state is authorized to <br />make a continuous study of the present and potential uses of the <br />water resources of the State; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board recommended <br />this project to the legislature for approval at its January 1992 <br />meeting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 11 of Chapter <br />333, Session Laws of Colorado 1992 (SB92-87), the State is <br />directed to undertake an analysis of the alternative approaches <br />to and the results of the transfer of agricultural water <br />supplies from the Ft Lyon Canal Company to alternative uses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 11 of Chapter <br />333, Session Laws of Colorado 1992, the state is authorized to <br />expend not more than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) <br />from the Colorado Water Conservation Board construction fund for <br />the purposes of performing the Ft Lyon Canal Company analysis <br />and preparation of a report thereon; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor has submitted a proposal to the <br />State to conduct an analysis of, and prepare a report on, the <br />alternative approaches to and the results of the transfer of <br />agricultural water supplies from the Ft Lyon Canal Company to <br />alternative uses, said analysis and report hereinafter sometimes <br />referred to as the project; and <br /> <br />Page 1 of 1 Pages <br />
