No. 149 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 30, 1980 <br /> <br />RES 0 L- UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha <br />District, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Plain Information, Volume V, Denver Metropolitan Region, Colorado," <br />dated November, 1970, which included Sanderson Gulch and North Sand- <br />erson Gulch; and " ' , <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board as requested <br />by the Denver Regional Council of Governments, by Resolution Number <br />11, adopted January 12, 1971, approved and designated the floodplains <br />described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 'Frasier arid Gingery, Inc., revised the November <br />1970 United States Army Corps of Engineers report insofar as it <br />pertained to Sanderson Gulch and North Sanderson Gulch; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board as requested <br />by the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District rescinded the original <br />study and by Resolution Number 37, adopted December 4,1974, approved <br />and designated the floodplains described in the Frasier and Gingery, <br />Inc" study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Hazard Area Delineation, <br />~anderson Gulch and North Sanderson Gulch," dated August, 1979, has been <br />prepared by Gingery Associates, Inc" at the request of the Urban <br />Drainage and Flood Control District, the City and County of Denver, and <br />the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report describes and outlines the flood- <br />plain ,data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area after completion of certain channel improve- <br />ments on Sanderson Gulch and North Sanderson Gulch; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has <br />requested the Colorado Water ConserVation Board to designate and approve <br />the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, <br />requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the preven- <br />tion of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local jurisdictions <br />may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any storm or <br />
