Drainageway Planning, Grange Hall Creek, Phase B Report," dated <br />December, 1977, has been prepared by Hydro-Triad, Ltd., at the <br />request of the Urban Drainage and Flood control District, the City <br />of Northglenn,' the city of Thornton, and Adams County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and infor-rnation for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or. basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />,I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the urban' Drainage and Flood Control Dis~rict <br />has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designa- <br />tion and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />", <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local juris- <br />- - -. - ,.- <br />. . , dictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />
