<br />Arkansas Ri ver/Poncha Creek, poncha Springs" ,Colorado,c" dated March,
<br />1978, has been prepared by Water Resources Consultants, Inc., ,at
<br />the request of. the Town of poncha ::;PI; ings, , Chaffee county iandthe
<br />CO.lorado Water Conservation Board; and '

<br />data and 'information, for the storm and., floodwater, runoff, channels

<br />WHEREAS, ,the Board of CCl~issioners
<br />requested the Colorado Water conservation
<br />approve the floodplain areas as set' forth,

<br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111; colorado Revised'
<br />Statutes 1973, provide that, such ,legislative bodies of local juriS-
<br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for ,land uses on or along,
<br />any storm or floodwater ,runoff channel or basin only after designa-
<br />tion' and' approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and'
<br />
<br />WHEREAS ,Section 37-60-106 (1) (cl. COlorado Revised Statutes
<br />1973, ,directs the Colorado water Conservation Board,todesignate and
<br />,approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or, basins and to make
<br />'such designations avaiiableto legislative bodies of ' local jurisdic-
<br />tions ; and '

<br />WHEREAS" the staff of the Board has 1"8viewed said report.
<br />'and dOes hereby reconunend to the ColoradO Water Conservation Board
<br />'that the Board designate and approve ' as, floodplain areas those areas
<br />inul1dated by a 100-year flood (inteimediateregional flood) as
<br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said
<br />report; ,

<br />, 'NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado water
<br />conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado,
<br />this 1st day of November, 1978, that it does hereby designate and
<br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated
<br />',by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface ,eleva-
<br />',tions and profiles in said report; and
