Colorado"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Colorado Water Conservation Board. as requested <br />by the Town of Rangely, by Resolution No. 241. adopted on <br />November 7. 1985, approved ~nd designated the floodplains <br />described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study. Town <br />of Rangely. Colorado," dated September 28, 1990, has been <br />prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the said new report includes all the previously <br />designated and approved detailed floodplain information as <br />presented in the September 27, 1985. Flood Insurance Study and <br />includes additional floodplain information for study reaches <br />which have been recently incorporated into the Town of Rangely, <br />Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said new report includes detailed floodplain <br />information for the stream reacnes of the White River. Coal Mine <br />Draw. and College Canyon Draw and approximate floodplain <br />information for the stream reaches of Gillan Draw and Douglas <br />Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Town of Rangely, Colorado. has requested the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Section 37-60-106 (1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes. <br />requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />3182E* <br />
