<br />RESOLUTION
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain
<br />information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Sheridan, Colorado, Arapahoe
<br />County", dates January 1976, which was not designated by the Colorado Water Conservation
<br />Board; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain
<br />information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Sheridan, Colorado, Arapahoe
<br />County", dated December 1977, which Was not designated by the Colorado Water
<br />Conservation Board; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Gingery and Associates, Inc., under contract to the Urban Drainage and
<br />Flood Control District, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard
<br />Area Delineation, Bear Creek", dated December 1979; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Urban
<br />Drainage and Flood Control District by Resolution No. 157, adopted on March 17, 1980,
<br />approved and designated the floodplains described in the aforesaid report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Wright Water Engineers, Inc. under contract to the Urban Drainage and
<br />Flood Control District, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard
<br />Area Delineation, South Platte River, Denver Metropolitan Area, Sand Creek to Oxford
<br />Avenue" dated September 1985; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the City of
<br />Sheridan, Colorado, by Resolution No. 231, adopted on March 14, 1986, approved and
<br />designated floodplain described in the aforesaid report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Arapahoe County, Colorado,
<br />and Incorporated Areas Volumes 1-3 (City of Sheridan)", dated April 17, 19119, has been
<br />prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said new report provides, on the basis of a new hydraulic analysis,
<br />detailed floodplain information for the South Platte River within the corporate boundaries
<br />of Sheridan; and
