<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />FPR 94-365 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Shennan Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />July 19, 1994 <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard Information, Colorado River <br />and Tributaries, Fruita, Colorado" dated November 1976 has been prepared by the D,S. Army Corps <br />of Engineers, Sacramento District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for the Colorado River, Big Salt <br />Wash, Little Salt Wash and Reed Wash; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the City of Fruita, and <br />Mesa County, Resolution No. 78, adopted on September 23, 1977, approved and designated the <br />floodplains described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Fruita, Colorado" <br />dated September 1979 has been prepared by MSM Consultants under contract to the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency (not designated); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for those portions of the <br />Colorado River, Big Salt Wash and Little Salt Wash within the corporate limits of the City of Fruita, <br />as they were in September 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a revised floodplain information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Fruita, <br />Colorado" dated July 15, 1992 has been prepared by J.F. Sato & Associates under contract to the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said revised report includes detailed floodplain information for those portions of <br />the Colorado River, Big Salt Wash and Little Salt Wash within the corporate limits of the City of Fruita, <br />as they were in September 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said revised report contains additional floodplain information for Big Salt Wash <br />from a point beginning 500 feet downstream of we confluence of Big Salt Wash and the Main Line <br />Grand Valley Canal and extending upstream 500 feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said revised report contains additional floodplain information for Little Salt Wash <br />from a point beginning 500 feet downstream of the confluence of Little Salt Wash and the Main Line <br />Grand Valley Canal and extending upstream 4,150 feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, through Board initiative, by Resolution <br />94-354.11, adopted on May 26, 1994, acknowledged the floodplains described in said report; and <br />
