<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />FPR 94-361 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />May 26, 1994 ' <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain information <br />report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Weld County, Colorado, Unincorporated Areas and Town of <br />Eaton, Colorado, Weld County" dated September, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report included approximate floodplain information for the Slough in the <br />vicinity of the Town of Severance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conserv;ition Board, as requested by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Weld County, by Resolution No, 156, adopted on March 17, 1980, approved and <br />designated the floodplains described in said report, including the approximate floodplains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, land which was shown as being in unincorporated Weld County in Resolution No, <br />156 is now within the corporate limits of the Town of Severance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said land includes a portion of the JOO-year floodplain of the Slough; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has not prepared a floodplain <br />information report or map for the Town of Severance other than the above-mentioned Flood Insurance <br />Study for Weld County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Floodplain Information Report, The Slough, Severance, Colorado", <br />dated May 1981, was prepared by the U,S, ArDly Corps of Engineers, Omaha District and D,L. <br />Bucknam & Associates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for that portion of the Slough <br />from the John Law Reservoir upstream approximately 6000 feet to Weld County Road No, 74&1/2 ; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed information contained in said report revises, on the basis of detailed <br />hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, the approximate information contained in Resolution No, 156 for the <br />said reach of the Slough only; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Severance, Color;ido, has requested the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report; and <br />
