No'- 148 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 30, 1980 <br /> <br />R E ~ 0 L U,T ~ 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Harvard Gulch, West Harvard Gulch, and <br />Dry Gulch, n dated December, 1979, has been prepared by Gingery <br />Associates, Inc., at the request of the Urban Drainage and Flood <br />Control District, the city and County of Denver, and Arapahoe <br />County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and FloOd Control District <br />has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designa- <br />tion and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs ~e Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local juriSdic- <br />tions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby re~ommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Boa~d <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas thOse areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said <br />report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />thi~ 30th day of January, 1980, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated <br />by a 100-year flood as set forth in said report; and <br />
