WHEREAS, McCall-Ellingson & Morrill, Inc., Consulting
Engineers, Denver, Colorado, ha~completed for the Urban Drainage
and Flood Control District a Major Drainageway Planning, Little
Dry Creek,Report, Volumes 1 ano.2, in Arapahoe County, City of
Englewood, Douglas County, City of Cherry Hills Village, city of
Greenwood Village, dated Februa~y 1974; and

WHEREAS, said Report outlines and describes the flood
water runoff channels within the above described areas; and

WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes
1963, requires that the ColoradO Water Conservation Board designate
and approve storm or flood wate~ runoff channels and to make such
designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions;
and

WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes
1963, provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and,
local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm
or flood water runoff channel ortly after designation and approval
by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and

WHEREAS, the' Urban Drainage and Flood Control District
has requested the ColoradO Water Conservation Board to designate
and approve the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid
Report; and

WHEREAS, the staff of the, Boar,d has reviewed said Report
and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water con~ervation Board
that said Board designate and approve as flood hazard areas those,
areas-set- forth -in- the- Report as nefrigs-uoj eCt - tc;f:[ood'ing- by'-the
100-year flood under existing conditions.
