I Q N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Identification Report, Fraser River and Tenmile Creek, <br />Granby, Colorado," which includes detailed floodplain <br />information for the Fraser River and Tenmile Creek, dated <br />February. 1987, has been prepared by the Colorado Wa ter <br />Conservation Board at the request of the Town of Granby; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. said report describes and <br />floodplain information for the storm and <br />,channels or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />outlines detailed <br />floodwater runoff <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Granby has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br />. , , . <br /> <br />", . <br /> <br />'..). ;, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1){c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />assist in the prevention of floods and f100d,damages therefrom; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Sections 31-23-301 and 30~28-111. Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />juriSdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along .any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c). Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local juriSdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas <br />those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate <br />regional flood) as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and profiles in said report; <br /> <br />5102E <br />
