S. Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, <br />has completed for the City of Aspe~ Flood Plain Information Report <br />Roaring Fork River and Castle and ~unter Creeks, Aspen, Colorado, <br />,rlated June 1973; and <br /> <br />WHEP~S, said Flood Plaiu Information 'Report OUtlines and <br />describes the flood water runoff cbannels within the Move desCribed. <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11 (4), Colorado Revised -Statute,s, <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Wa'ter Conservation Board~ignate , <br />'and approve storm or flood ,water runoff channels and to.. make such <br />design.."ltions available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions: <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood <br />water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of ASpen has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the flood hazard areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. Corps of Engineers Flood,Plain <br />In:formation Report; and <br /> <br />WHERF~S, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />. Plain Info~ination Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said aoard designate and approve as <br />flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being <br />--- ----:-sub-ject -to-an-intermediate-reg~ona.r-frcx5a:1------- <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORZ, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 3lst day of October, 1973, that it does hereby designate and <br />
