WHEREAS, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District,
has completed for the Larimer-Weld Regional Planning Commission,
Flood Plain Information Report, Cache La Poudre River, Colorado, Volume
II, Greeley, Weld County, dated March, 1974; and

WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines and
describes the floodwater runoff channels within the.above described
areas; and .. .'

WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(l)(c), Colorado Revised S.tatutes
1973, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate
and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels and to make such
designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions;
and

) WHEREAS, Sections 30-28-111 and 31-23-201, Colorado Revised
Statutes 1973, provide that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and
local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or
floodwater runoff channel only after designation and approval by the
Colorado Water Conservation Board; and

WHEREAS, the City of Greeley and the County of Weld have
requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve
the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. Army Corps
of Engineers Flood Plain Informatio_l Report ; and

WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood Plain
Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water
Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as flood hazard
areas those areas set forth in the report as being subject to an inter-
mediate regional flood;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser-
