Emergency Infrastructure Loan Fund - Replacement of Funds

Introduction

Fourteen projects with loan contracts totaling $5,133,000 have been financed
through the Board's Emergency Infrastructure Repair Fund. The balance in the
Emergency Infrastructure Fund is currently within one average project of being
exhausted.

In 1993 through HB 93-1273, the Legislature authorized the Board to set aside
$2.0 million of Construction Fund money in a special fund reserved for emergency repair
of water resources infrastructure systems. The money in the fund is continuously
appropriated to the Board for immediate availability primarily for emergency repair of
water storage systems or water distribution systems. The fund is intended to provide
flexibility for the Board to make financial resources available ina timely manner when
the legislative approval process would be a significant financial hardship to a borrower.

The Board has authorized the following project loans through the Emergency
Infrastructure Repair Loan Fund.

Flood Protection. Water Project Planning and Financing. Stream and lake Protection
Water Supply Protection. Conservation Planning
