These tasks were originally going to be performed in-house by the Board staff; however.
existing section workloads are such that these tasks can be completed in a timely matter through
contract professional services,

Feasibility Cost-Share Agreement (FCSA) between the Corps of Engineers and Colorado Water
Conservation Board is fully executed and a Study Contractor (Simons and Associates. The
Contractor presented the study performance schedule to the Board and Corp's staffs and the
Chatfield Work Group (Clients) on March 1,2000. The project schedule was acceptable to the
clients. The project is presently scheduled for completion by September 30,2003.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The purpose of the feasibility study is to investigate the potential for reallocation of storage from
flood control to multi-purpose use, to formulate plans of improvement. and to obtain approval
from higher Corps authority.

Federal study objectives are required to ensure consistency across the Nation.
