Brad Lundahl. Colorado Water Conservation Board, W A TF Chair
Mr. Lundahl welcomed everyone to the meeting. He commented again that he had asked the
Impact Force members to contact him between scheduled meetings if they had any immediate
concerns related to drought impacts.

Robert McGuire, Governor's Policy Office
Mr. McGuire stated that the Governor's Office was continuing to process drought declaration
requests as they come in and that there have been only a few requests so far this year. He said
they were looking forward to the SWSI reports that will factor into the Governor's agenda on
water during the 2005 legislative session. Mr. McGuire again mentioned that he appreciated
working with this Water Availability Task Force group, and what they do.

Jack Byers, Deputy Director, Division of Water Resources
Mr. Byers commented that rain does not fill our reservoirs. He stated that water storage in
Colorado is a reflection of our winter snowpack. Mr. Byers also suggested that people look at
Denver, Colorado Springs, Aurora, and some irrigator's websites regarding water efficiency
maintenance measures. He reported that the Division of Water Resources/State Engineer's office
is actively working on Colorado River issues, and they are spending a lot of time assessing
Colorado River flows, etc. Mr. Byers said Lake Powell is 42% full, "which is still a lot of
water," and they are aware that at 20% the power pool becomes somewhat inefficient. The SEO
is continuing to assess the conditions.
