Protracted from San Juan National Forest Map 1974 U.$. Gov. Printing Office (781-231)
to be in Sec. 13, T.41N., R.9W.. N.M.P.M. south Fork of Mineral Creek, Animas River
watershed.

4. Means of diversion: gravity flow into lake

5. Type of use: preservation of m~n~mum lake level as required to protect the natural
environment to a reasonable degree.

6. Amount of water:

580.0 A.F. ABSOLUTE

PROVIDED THAT THE AMOUNT OF ACTUAL STORAGE IN THE LAKE BE LIMITED TO THE CAPACITY OF THE
NATURAL LAKE AT TI-iE ELEVATION REQUESTED ( 12,260 ft. ). THE APPLICANTS iHLL NOT
INTERFERE IN ANY MANNER WITH THE NATURAL OUTLET OF SAID LAKE. APPLICANT WILL INSTALL AND
MAINTAIN MEASURING DEVICES AND RECORDERS AND KEEP PROPER RECORDS AS REQUIRED BY THE
COLORADO DIVISION OF WATER RESOURCES.

APPLICANT'S RIGHTS ARE SUBJECT TO ALL SENIOR RIGHTS AS ARE NOW OR WILL HEREAFTER BE
DETBRHINED BY LAi'l.

7. Priority of water right:

March 9, 1977

The priority here awarded shall be junior to all priorities awarded in previous years.
As between all rights adjudicated this calendar year, priorities shall be determined by
historical dates of appropriation and not affected by the date of entry of this ruling.

It is the ruling of the Referee that the statements in the application are t~ue and that the
above described water right is approved and granted the indiciltcd pl~iority.
