FPR 220 <br /> / ' OLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br /> �I 823 State Centennial Building <br /> • 1313 Sherman Street <br /> filjj14 Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> March 15 , 1984 <br /> R E S O L U T I 0 N <br /> WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br /> Hazard Area Delineation, Marcy Gulch, " dated February, 1983, has <br /> been prepared by Jack G. Raub Company at the request of the Board <br /> of County Commissioners of Douglas County, the Urban Drainage and <br /> Flood Control District, and the Mission Viejo Company; and <br /> WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br /> data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br /> or basins of the study area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Douglas County <br /> has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br /> and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br /> • report; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) , Colorado Revised Statutes <br /> 1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br /> the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111 , Colorado Revised <br /> Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br /> jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br /> along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br /> designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br /> Board; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106( 1 ) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br /> 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br /> and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br /> make such designations .available to legislative bodies of local <br /> jurisdictions; and <br /> WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br /> does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br /> that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br /> areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br /> as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br /> said report; <br /> 128 <br /> res/220 <br /> • <br /> • <br />
