SHEEK DITCH COMPANY <br />DITCH REHABILITATION PROJECT <br />New Diversion Structure on the Mancos River <br />Proiect Description <br />IsThe Sheek Ditch Company is comprised of 17 members that irrigate approximately 520 acres. The <br />existing ditch system is 3.6 miles in length, carries approximately 9 cfs, and has been in existence <br />since the 1880's. This project involved piping the existing open ditch system with 8 -inch to 21- <br />inch PVC pipe and installing meters at each delivery point. The project was part of the NRCS <br />Salinity Control Program. Final cost of the project was $348,868, with NRCS contributing a <br />$241,000 grant towards design and construction of the project.
