Thompson, Operational Meteorologist <br />Grand Mesa Water Enhancement Authority <br />1405 Dover Road <br />Montrose, CO 81401 <br />PERMITTED PROJECT: Commercial seeding of winter storm clouds from cloud nuclei <br />generators from November 1 through April 30 with up to 16 <br />ground -based ice nuclei generators to augment mountain <br />snowpack. This permit request is to operate a program to increase <br />snowpack snow water equivalent to benefit natural habitat, <br />agriculture, municipal water, stock growers, recreational <br />interests, and the local economy. <br />PERIOD OF PERMIT: Approval is hereby given for operations from the date of this <br />permit through April 30, 2011, with conditional approval given <br />for future- years' operations from November 1 through March 31 <br />of 2011 -2012 through the same operational seasons for up to ten <br />years through the operational year 2019 -2020. This permit is <br />subject to the permit renewal requirements of section 36-20 - <br />114(2), C.R.S. (2010), and of the Colorado Weather Modification <br />Rules and Regulations, 2 CCR 401 -1. This permit shall <br />automatically terminate on April 30, 2020. <br />1 <br />
