<br />The Beaver Reservoir Company, located in Paonia, Colorado (30 miles east of Delta, CO), is comprised of
<br />three share holders, totaling 1,600 shares and encompassing a service area of 3,400 acres. Beaver Reservoir
<br />is located nine miles southeast of Paonia, along the East Fork of Minnesota Creek, a tributary of the
<br />Gunnison River. The reservoir was constructed in 1958 and has a capacity of 1,620 acre-feet, with a 113-foot
<br />high earthen dam spanning 870 feet. In 1995 a PVC liner was installed to combat sink holes along the dam
<br />face. The liner was effective far a number of years, however, erosion problems later developed along the
<br />lower portion of the liner and the outlet works were deemed unreliable. This project involved the placement
<br />of additional fill material along the lower section of the existing liner and replacement of the outlet works.
<br />Two contract amendments were required to address significant ovemuls in the construction costs due to
<br />design changes, weather impacts, etc.; resulting in the release of the original contractor.
