Their water supply is from the Little Thompson River, which they
treat with a micro-filtration unit. The District's existing facility did not provide for any water storage,
which typically left them without water during times of drought. This project provided the following
system improvements; construction of 40 acre-foot Crow Lane Reservoir Na 1, a new pump station, 7,500
linear feet of 4 inch transmission pipe, and modifications to their infiltration gallery. The project
commenced construction in April of 2006, with the final reservoir component being completed in the fall of
2008. The reservoir was filled in the spring of 2009, as illustrated above, and the overall system is
operating as designed.
Project Data
Sponsor: Pinewood Springs Water Dist.
