In keeping with the
major initiatives of the Board, the Water Information Section has been investigating how to further this
effort, making water information (from multipl e entities) as easy to acce ss as possible.
Background
Solany™ Document Management was hired to outlin e and define how to expand content search
capabilities of the CWCB and Colorado State Univ ersity (CSU) by allowing public users the ability
to search both entities from a single location. Mo ving forward, other entiti es would join, creating
an ever-growing repository of data while remaining seamless to the user community.
Solany and the CWCB will make recommendations on how to integrate the two systems and
develop a set of standards for wh ich other institutions could adopt, utilize and expand their search
capabilities and share th eir data collections.
Staff Recommendation
This is an informational item only.
