<br />LAKE ARROWHEAD WATER USERS ASSOCIATION <br />RESERVOIR REHABILITATION <br /> <br /> <br />Contractor Pouring Outlet Structure Wingwall <br /> <br />Proiect Description <br /> <br />Lake Arrowhead Reservoir is located 2 miles southwest of Greeley on the Ashcroft Draw, <br />which is a tributary to the South Platte River. The existing Class 3 dam, 30 feet high, was <br />constructed in 1963 with a 200 acre-foot capacity. On August 10,2002 a large sinkhole developed <br />on the downstream slope of the dam, due to failure of the outlet pipe. This project involved the <br />placement of a 125 linear feet of 24-inch steel outlet pipe, new concrete outlet structure and toe <br />drains, and reconstruction of the dam embankment <br /> <br />Proiect Data <br /> <br />Sponsor: Lake Arrowhead Homeowner Assoc.
