Do they go in
environmental enhancements or something to add to the discussion on ag transfers?

---Qriginal Message--
From: Jolm Wiener [mailto:John.Wiener@Colorado.EDU]
Sent: Friday, August 13, 2004 5:10 PM
To: DiNatale, Kelly
Subject: biology

Dear Kelly:

I attach some comments on biological issues related to water transfer, particularly on the Plains. I have run
out of time to work on this project, unb1 September, but I hope these are useful. In particular, as we discussed,
I feel it is unforhmate that academics have not participated in the SWSI (as far as I can tell from the Arkansas
~and South Platte ronndtables), and I fear that agency staff have not been tasked with some of these problems
jbeyond adding SWSI to their already-excessive loads. Maybe these will help them get permission to make
corrections or contributions.

Thanks for your advice! If you think the attachment would be better in another format, that would be okay.
I'll be back before the end of the month, but can't do anything until the 26th, I think, and I fear this is already
too late for some people to add to their work on SWSI.

With best wishes and greetings to your group and Rick Brown --

John Wiener

1
