In a letter dated September 17, 1997,
requested that FEMA revise the FIRM to show the effects of construction of two 12-foot by
25-foot pre-cast, three-sided box culverts at Fairway Lane and channel modifications along Dutch Creek from
approximately 110 feet upstream of Fairway Lane to the confluence with the South Platte River. The revised
reach extends from approximately 1,250 feet upstream of Fairway Lane to the confluence with the South Platte
River. This request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on December 1, 1995.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from .
and L

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM. We have
revised the FIRM to modify the elevations, floodplain boundary delineations, and zone designations of the flood
having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along the revised reach
of Dutch Creek. The modifications also include the addition of regulatory floodway boundary delineations.
As a result of the modifications, the base flood elevations (BFEs) for the revised reach increased; the width of
the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the base flood, decreased; and the
width of the regulatory floodway increased. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of
FIRM Panel(s) 0005 D and 0010 D. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced
panel(s) of the effective FIRM dated September 29, 1989.

Because this revision request also affects the Town of Columbine Valley and Arapahoe County, separate
LOMRs for those communities were issued on the same date as this LOMR.

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panel(s) as listed above and as modified
by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community.
