House Floor

Senate Bill 179

May 5, 2006

Mr. Daniel Goldstein: Senate Bill 179 by Senator Isgar,

also Representative Penry, concernlng additional financial

support for water projects.

Speaker Andrew Romanoff: Representative Penry?

Representative Josh Penry: Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

I'd ask for permission to offer a third reading amendment.

Speaker Andrew Romanoff: Maybe this would be a good

opportunity to use your animals.

Representative Penry?

Representative Josh Penry:

Thank you. Not bad.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

This amendment clarifies what types of projects and

activities could be funded on this to build a--to set aside

severance tax money for the Interbasin Compact Committee to

begin projects.

This does two things that sort of broaden the description

of what types of activities, and it clarifies some conflicts

that appeared In an amendment that was put on In a second

reading.

This will ultimately head into Conference Committee,

but we want to make these changes here and I ask for a yes vote.

Speaker Romanoff: Representative Curry?

- 1 -
