The Board of Directors completed a search effort for her replacement and
appointed Don Glaser as the new Executive Director effective June 1, 2006.

2007-2008 Scope of Work
Attached is the Colorado Foundation for Water Education 2007-2008 Scope of Work (SOW) for your
review. This SOW was developed by the Executive Director and the CFWE Board. The Scope of Work
reflects a program in the coming year that builds on the CFWE's past success while beginning to focus on
a new era of cooperation and collaboration with a board array of organizations providing water education
throughout Colorado.

2006-2007 Educational Proerams Overview
Quarterly issues of Headwaters magazine include the following themes: ground water issues across the
state; a special report on the decisions of the Colorado Supreme Court for the past decade which
addressed water issues; Arkansas River Basin (due May 2007); and water and energy (due June 2007).

The CFWE will release a Citizen's Guide to the Denver Basin Aquifers in June 2007. The Guide to the
Denver Basin Aquifers was funded in part by Suncor Energy with a grant. Authors of guide are Ralf
Topper, Colorado Geological Survey, and Bob Raynolds, Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The
nature of the Guide has required substantial review by independent experts in the area of groundwater
hydrology in general and the Denver Basin groundwater in particular.

The CFWE completed its inaugural Water Leaders Program in November 2006. The program was an
outstanding success. This 9-month program provided 14 emerging water leaders with formal training in
leadership skills and many opportunities to participate in water policy forums. Based on the very positive
responses to the first year of this important water education initiative, CFWE recently began the second
year of water leaders with 10 very qualified and diversified participants. This year's program will include
four formal training sessions on leadership by LeaderExcellence Net as well as multiple opportunities
learn about Colorado water issues.

Flood Protection · Water Supply Planning and Finance.
