Box 95 <br />Morrison, Colorado 80465 <br /> <br />RE: Raw Water System Loan Application <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Poe: <br /> <br />Concerning the Town of Morrison's application for a loan from the Construction Fund, I am <br />pleased to inform you that the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) granted initial <br />approval of your request for $504,000 (not to exceed 75 percent of actual project cost) to <br />construct Segment 1 of the Town's proposed raw water supply project, namely; a new <br />diversion structure on Bear Creek, a new sand trap, a pump station, and a raw water <br />transmission line approximately 1,740 feet in length. <br /> <br />The Board approved a loan term of 30 years at an interest rate of 5.0 percent. Your <br />Construction Fund loan will be considered by the State General Assembly as part of the 1995 <br />CWCB Construction Fund bill with passage expected in May 1995. Funds should be <br />available aboUt July I, 1995 assuming we are able to negotiate a contract by that date.- <br /> <br />The Board has given their initial approval subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. Final approval shall be contingent upon completion of the feasibility study and a <br />finding that the project is feasible. <br /> <br />b. Loan approval shall also be contingent upon staff evaluation of the Town's financial <br />condition and ability to pay and upon all standard contracting provisions of the CWCB. <br /> <br />Please contact Bill Green of this office (866-3441) if you have any questions regarding the <br />feasibility study or the financial analyses. <br />
