Crawford: In accordance with the prov~s~ons of Section 1 of Public Law 534, 78th Congress, and Public Law 732, 79th Congress, I am inclosing a copy of ~ proposed report, together with the reports of the Board of Engineers for Rivers and He.rbors, and of the District and Division Engi- neers, on a review of report on the Purgatoire (Picket Wire) River, Colorado. As you know, existing law allows a period of 90 days in which to cOlw~nt on ~ proposed report; however, in view of the desirability of transmitting the report to Congress in time to permit its consideration in connection with the pending flood control authorization bill, I would appreciate receiving your comments at the earliest practicable date, in- cluding the views of the agency responsible for fish and wildlife. ,,' , Should additional information be desired concerning this project I may suggest that the Division Engineer, Southwestern Division, 1114 Commerce Street, Dallas 2, Texas, or the District Engineer, Albuquerque District, P.O. Box 1538, Albuquerque, New MexiCO, be consulted. Whenever the State in its review of such reports desires to ob- tain the viel,s of parties having an interest in the project being re- ported upon, the Department would interpose no objection to giving such interested parties access to the report in the office of a State agency.
