Very small pieces of the conditional water <br />rights for the Basalt and West Divide <br />projects have been carved off and marketed <br />for use in augmentation plans for <br />residential developments in the lower <br />Roaring Fork Valley and the Rifle-DeBeque <br />corridor. <br />4. As part of a land exchange, the U.S. <br />acquired.a number of conditional water <br />rights on Castle Creek near Ashcroft, and <br />then obtained state water court decrees <br />changing them to instream uses and making <br />them absolute.
