The second is from Governor Romer, and Lt. Governor Schoettier <br />urging the EPA, Interior and Bureau of Reclamation to evaluate the alternatives in a more <br />efficient, expeditious manner which follows appropriate legal processes. A more <br />expedient review is needed in order to allow the Ute Tribes and other Animas-LaPlata <br />proponents to advise Congress on environmental issues surrounding ALP-Lite by <br />February 15, 1998. We will forward the outcome of these analyses, to the Board when <br />they are complete. <br /> <br />TRANSFER OF LANDS FOR THE DURANGO PUMPING STATION <br /> <br />With the completion of the Romer/Schoettler negotiations, Staff will reinitiate <br />discussions with the Colorado Department of Health (CDOH) to transfer the lands that <br />CDOH owns and on which the Durango Pumping Plant is to be located to the Board or <br />other appropriate agency. <br /> <br />1:/BoardmemlJan98/jan982ge.bdm <br /> <br />Roy Romer <br />Governor <br /> <br />l.:lmes S.
