Studies
are currently underway to evaluate the effects of the subregional develop-
ments on the Missouri River itself. ,Effects on the system of large up-
stream dams on the Missouri and on the downstream channel, and finally, the
outflow from the basin to the Mississippi River must be determined.
As soon as study results are available alternative courses of action will
be devised in order to guide adjustments for finalizing the regional plan.

.

Some of the goods and services to be gained are evident from pre-
ceding tabulations. In general, however, the plan response varies from
50 percent to 100 percent of the projected "needs" outlined earlier in
this brochure. Certain studies dealing with agricultural production and
overall economic impacts are now underway and will give further insight
as to the output from the framework. Pending completion of these studies
it appears that the framework plan will support the projected economy of

35
