EKten- <br />sive use could be anticipated from tourists passing through the area on <br />transcontinental U.S. Highway 50. Potential recreational facilities have <br />been outlined by the Forest Service and would include picnic-camping <br />units, boat ramps, picnic shelters, parking spaces, trails, and sanita- <br />tion and water systems. The Forest Service currently maintains a picnic <br />ground just upstream from the reservoir basin. <br /> <br />Fish and wildlife <br /> <br />Potential fishing use at Elko Reservoir has been estimated at 8,400 <br />visits annually. This estimate has been made by the Bureau of Reclamation <br />and is based on 20 visits for each acre of the normal reservoir surface area <br />of 420 acres. The per acre use at Elko Reservoir has been estimated at <br /> <br />48 <br />
