t-
o;
N
N

c

of secondary energy probably will be available and sold, although

no exact forecast can be made of thE) year or extent of availability.

It is to be understood that salable secondar,y energy as here

defined is energy available in 2ny year in excess of the previously

defined quantity of firm enurgy. Since all firm anergy is taken

and/or pe.id for at firm energy rate by the allottee enti tIed to

it and firm energy must not be paid for twice, an allottee paying

for but not taking a part of his minimum annual obligation of

firm energy will be entitled to a credit at secondary rate for

energy taken and paid for at secondary rate by another allottee

in excess of his allotment of firm energy.

Energy taken by any allottee in excess of his allotment of

firm energy shall be at secondary rates. The revenues resulting

from sale of such energy in excess of the allotment of any

ll110ttee shEll be credited to cllottees not trking their full

annual obligation in the proportion tha t such portion not taken

bears to the portion not taken byallallottees.

In consideri ng the sale of secondary energy in the computation

of energy rates it is proposed at each adjustment period to sub-

tract the total secondary energy paid for up to that date from

40,000,000,000 kilowatt hours and divide the remainder by the

remaining years in the 5O-yea.r period. The answer secured will

be assumed as the secondary energy to be sold in each remaining

yeer of the 50-year period unless it exceeds the transmission

12
