<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />2. S.1004 <br /> <br />During 1967 and 1968 (1st and 2d Sessions of 90th <br /> <br />Congress) the bill pending in the Senate predecessor to P. L. 90-537 <br /> <br />was S. 1004, Section 8 of this bill implemented the Seven-State <br /> <br />Agreement and provided: <br /> <br />"Sec. 8, The Upper Colorado River Basin fund <br />established under section 5 of the Act of April 11, 1956 (70 <br />Stat. 107), shall be reimbursed from the Colorado River de- <br />velopment fund established by section 2 of the Boulder <br />Canyon Project Adjustment Act (54 Stat. 774), for all ex- <br />penditures heretofore or hereafter made from the Upper <br />Colorado River Basin fund to meet deficiencies in <br />generation at Hoover Dam during the filling period of <br />reservoirs of storage units of the Colorado River storage <br />project pursuant to the criteria for the fillinq of Glen <br />Canyon Reservoir (27 Fed. Req. 6851, July 19 , 1962), For <br />this purpose $500,000 for each year of operation of Hoover <br />Dam and powerplant, commencing with the enactment of this <br />Act, shall be transferred from the Colorado River de- <br />velopment fund to the Upper Colorado River Basin fund, in <br />lieu of application of said amounts to the purposes stated <br />in section 2 (d) of the Boulder Canyon Project Adjustment <br />Act, until such reimbursement is accomplished. To the <br />extent that any defiCiency in such reimbursement remains <br />as of June l, 1987, the amount of the remaining deficiency <br />shall then be transferred to the Upper Colorado River <br />Basin fund from net revenues derived from the sale of <br />electric energy qenerated at Hoover Dam." R. 3300. Section 502 of this bill <br /> <br />implemented the Seven-State Agreement, and the text of this section <br /> <br />is the same as Section 502 of p, L. 90-537.
