The Amity Mutual Irrigation Company

1383
Superintendent's Report

To

The Amity Mutual Irrigation Company
TO THE DIRECTORS AND STOCKHOLDERS:

Gentlemen:

II

I

The following statements concerning the operation and
maintenance of The Amity Mutual Irrigation Company, its
canals ~nd reservoir system, are submitted for your
consideration.
AMITY CANAL
The irrigation season for 1990 was rather a surprise from
what was expected at the start of the season. With some late
snowpack and heavy rains upstream, the Arkansas River held
up very well during most of the season and Amity was able to
deliver approximately 8 runs of water to the stockholders.
Cleaning of the canal with the Gradall and Dragline was
continued along with tree removal and rip-rapping of curves.
One of the large check structures in the Hartman area was
completely rebuilt and the flap check for the structure was
repaired and reinstalled in time for the irrigation season.'
One new headgate was installed in the Lamar division.

Page 15
