The figures for fiscal year 1957-1958 rep- <br /> <br />resent the amount of funds available. Table 2 shows a breakdown of <br /> <br />funds available for fiscal 1957-1958 for salaries, operation and <br /> <br />maintenance and capital outlay and the number of professional and <br /> <br />non-professionsl personnel engaged in water resource activities. <br /> <br />The information shown in these tables was obtained from <br /> <br />questionnaires sent to each of the major water agencies. In some <br /> <br />instances, which have been noted in the tables, supplementary sources <br /> <br />were used. In a few cases computations have been made from the data <br /> <br />provided in order to present comparable figures in the table. <br />
