<br />-,.- <br />'1"'.'" <br /> <br />SUMMARY SHEETS (Continued) <br /> <br />COST-EFFECTIVENESS COMPARISON WITH OTHER SALINITY CONTROL UNITS <br /> <br />Cost effectiveness is being used by the Bureau of Reclamation to deter- <br />mine which salinity control units or components of units have the great- <br />est potential for reducing salinity concentration for the least money <br />spent. An array of cost-effectiveness rates and reduction of salt load- <br />ing to the Colorado River system provides a basis for comparing the <br />effects of the various units or their components, Units that have been <br />completed or are nearing completion are used as a base for comparing <br />with units under-study. Only units for which planning reports have been <br />prepared are included in the comparison, <br /> <br />The summary table on the following page compares the Dolores project <br />salinity control features with the Lower Gunnison Basin Unit, the Sta~e <br />Two development of the Grand Valley Unit, the Uinta Basin Unit and with <br />two completed units--the Stage One development of the Grand Valley Unit <br />and the Meeker Dome Unit. <br /> <br />S-9 <br />
