Such water would be convertible to M&I purposes (as specified in the <br />Colorado Ute IndUm Water Riglrts Settlement Act) and depletions as specilled in the Colorado Ute lndian Water Riglrts <br />Settlement Agreement. <br />1 Project inigation supplies take into account Project shortages which apply to irregular interruptions of service based upon <br />available water. <br />3 Return flows and reservoir evaporation constitutes the difference between supply and depletion. <br /> <br />Phase I, Stage A - Filling Period (preoperation) <br /> <br />When construction of Durango Pumping Plant, Ridges Basin Inlet Conduit, and Ridges Basin <br />Dam is complete, initial water diversions from the Animas River to the reservoir basin would <br />begin. With the depletion restriction under which Phase I, Stage A must operate, it would <br />take approximately three years to fill the reservoir to an operational stage, The amount of <br />pumping would be governed by: <br /> <br />· Downstream senior water right demands on the river <br />· The amount of water in the river <br />· The maximum annual depletion allowed <br /> <br />23 <br />
