Completed in 1975; capacity 505,700 acre-ft at elevation <br />5,450.0 ft (crest of service spillway); dead storage 732 acre-ft at elevation 5,255.0 ft., from <br />1981 survey. A 50,000 acre-foot permanent pool was authorized by Public Law 88-293, 88th <br />Congress, March 26, 1964. Reservoir is operated by Corps of Engineers for flood control, <br />sediment storage, and recreation.
