A. p. Jones and L. J. Workman of the Regional Office spent <br />several ~s with the Project HYdrologist and Field Engineer outlining <br />the method of approach for determining the advisability of further studT <br />of the poyer sites on the Bio Grande above Gerrard. Mr. F. H. Merrick, <br />an estimator from the .AJ. buquerllue Area Planning Ofnc e, was detailed to <br />the project to assist in making the cost estimates. <br /> <br />!!he project vas represented at the Snow SU1'Te;r Conference at Sun <br />Valley, Idaho. <br /> <br />!he Project Engineer vas in Amarillo during the middle of February <br />for a conference called to coordinate the Planning, Design and Construc- <br />tion act! vi ties. <br /> <br />A meeting was held vith regard to the Fair Emplo;rment Practice <br />Regulations laid out by President Tl'UlIIaIl. <br /> <br />~e Red Cross sponsored a StaIJdard First Aid Course in Monte Vista <br />with several of the project employees in attendance. <br /> <br />During the month, the San Luis Valley Water Conservancy District <br />continued an active campaign to extend the boundaries of the District. <br />Satisfactory' progress is reported. <br /> <br />Wemlnuche Pass Division <br /> <br />There vere no activities in this division during the month. <br /> <br />Closed Basin Drain Division <br /> <br />Observation of the fluctuations of the groUll.d vater level continued <br />during the month by personnel of the Geological SU1'Tsy. <br /> <br />Conejos Division - Platoro Unit <br /> <br />Office personnel were engaged in routine office work. !!he personnel <br />detailed to the Denver Inspectors' School reported to the project.
